The Medical Alumni Association sponsors a number of programs to connect alumni with each other, current students, and their alma mater. Sign in to Our Northwestern to signal your interest in participating on your profile. Still curious? Learn more about our programs below. You can also contact ML Farrell at 312-503-0855 or with any questions, concerns, or to share your interest.

Serve as a mentor to students

Share your career knowledge about the field of medicine with interested Feinberg medical students. We sponsor several mentoring events throughout the year, and are also happy to connect alumni and students with similar career and general interests via email or otherwise. Please reach out to us if you are interested.

Host Regional Alumni Events

Volunteer to host events for fellow alumni in your geographic area. Past events have been held at alumni homes, in local museums, and even the White House South Lawn Garden.

Serve as a Speaker/Panelist

Offer your expertise and insight to audiences at medical school events for fellow alumni, students, faculty and staff, and the medical community.

Participate in our HOST Program

The Help Our Students Travel (HOST) Program is an opportunity for alumni to be a resource to our fourth year medical students who are traveling for their residency interviews. You can help in many ways, including hosting a student overnight or just being a local resource via email.

Participate in Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Courses or other teaching

If you have specific interest in volunteer teaching opportunities on campus such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), please contact ML Farrell directly (her information is at the top of this page). Click here for more specific information on PBL.

Join Our Northwestern to submit and see Class Notes and photos from fellow alumni, update your own profile, search the alumni directory, and register for upcoming events where you can network with your peers.
